History:

Clock and Watch Workshop in the Early Days 1957 to 1960.

Shortly after his arrival in

Vanderbijlpark from Germany

Hans Wollmershäuser started

repairing Watches and Clocks.

Little did he realize then that this

was to become a family run

business. He worked from home

until 1960 when he officially

started "Metro Watchmaker"

in a small shop in Pretoria West.

Realy old Morris as Mobile Workshop.

Hans collected watches from the

Pretoria West Industrial areas

prevalent in those years.

Hans, Max and John in

Then some extra

staff to handle the

workload.

 

Later his daughter

Uta joined the

business.

for 50 years.

He retired in 2010

at the age of 81.

 

Clocks do not stop here for long, therefore none of us are getting any younger...

Sadly Hans is no longer with us but the Clocks Keep on Ticking.
